London’s Mayor, Boris Johnson, has opened the world’s largest exhibition and conference centre devoted exclusively to debating and highlighting contemporary challenges and solutions for planning and managing cities.

Funded and operated by Siemens, the Munich-headquartered global technology systems consortium, The Crystal pavilion at Royal Victoria Docks was custom-designed by London architects Wilkinson Eyre and is accessorised by a cable car system offering passengers aerial views of recent Olympic developments across the eastern zone of the Thames River.
